So you want to learn to drive?

Here's some information on how to start your journey.

Before you can learn to drive you must apply for a provisional driving licence which you can do so up to three months before your 17th birthday.

If you are disabled and receive disability living allowance you can start from age 16 and can apply for your provisional three months before your 16th birthday.

You will also need to enclose original documentation confirming your identity with a passport style colour photograph.  In some cases it is possible that the DVLA can use your passport photograph if you provide your current passport number.
